Xavier Lauth

After completing his studies in international relations and management, Xavier Lauth joined SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in 2010 as an intern program assistant. Little did he know that he will be spending almost 12 years within the association.  

He held positions as Activity Manager in Haiti, Project Manager in Pakistan and Niger, and Field Coordinator in Chad, South Sudan, the Philippines and Myanmar. In 2015, he was appointed head of mission for the emergency team, where he contributed to numerous humanitarian responses. 

After a stint with Terre des Hommes in Iraq in 2016, he returned to SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL as Country Director in the Democratic Republic of Congo before becoming Emergency Desk Manager in 2018. He will be responsible for coordinating operations in SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s new intervention contexts. 

He will then hold the position of Director of Operations for the sea rescue NGO, SOS MEDITERRANÉE for a year before returning to SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL as Director of Operations. 

I had the honor of discovering SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in 2010 and had the chance of growing within its walls. I know every inch of it. I didn’t stay, nor did I systematically return to it for comfort, but because I fervently believe in its social mission, in the commitment of its members and in the quality of the work carried out in the field. I deeply believe in its commitment to working closely with communities, and in its ability to be bold and pragmatic. I am confident that each and every one of us shares the same objective: to provide dignified and appropriate humanitarian assistance to those who need it most. I will do my best to reach this goal.
