Michel Lever has been working for SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL since early 2017 under a skills sponsorship agreement with the Orange company. In charge of developing regional delegations within the development and communication department, he set up the first delegation in Brittany and helped launch the Pays de la Loire delegation. He carries out communication actions aimed at making the association, its values and its humanitarian action known to the Breton public on the occasion of events such as the World Water Day or the Solidarities festival (conferences, awareness-raising in schools). He strives to develop a dynamic presence of SI within the regional actors of international solidarity. He represents SI on the board of the Rennes international house.
After a PhD in information processing at the University of Rennes, his professional career in telecommunications led him from R&D to operational intervention. He has held management positions in research laboratories, operational and functional departments, developed skills in fields as diverse as communication, development, innovation, human resources, operational performance, finance and work organisation.
For many years he held associative responsibilities within the Diwan schools federation (teaching in Breton by immersion).
In line with the association’s mandate and the spirit that animates its teams, I made an old dream come true: to devote myself to humanitarian action. I admire SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL ‘s professionalism and the commitment of its employees, the relevance and effectiveness of its actions. I also see the challenges of adaptation and transformation that it faces. Committed with the teams, I hope to be able to help the organisation the best I can, to take aid further, together.”
