Johan Lefebvre Chevallier

After having held various positions in overseas trading, Johan began humanitarian aid work in 2005. Since then, he has worked as an employee or consultant for various organizations (Action Against Hunger, Médecins du Monde, International Rescue Committee, Norwegian Refugee Council, Catholic Relief Services, Relief International, Save the Children), both in the field and in regional and headquarters positions.

Johan specializes in project management in so-called “fragile” areas, change management, institutional development, crisis and general management.

After a masters degree in International Public Management at Sciences Po, Johan joined SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL as Middle East Desk Manager, which he left in 2019 to join  a Anglo Saxon NGO as its Middle East regional director. Since June 2020, he has been an independent consultant in the international business sector. In September 2020, he was elected to the Board of Directors of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL and also became a member of its ethics committee.

Johan wishes to continue to bring his humanitarian commitment to life through the Board of Directors, by sharing with the association his experiences of working at different levels in various organizations,. He hopes to be able to support SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL, both in mission management and global humanitarian issues.

For me, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL remains the epitome of an NGO, in terms of its commitment and teamwork. SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL represents what today’s NGOs should be; on a human scale, they put people at the centre of their interventions, with an unwavering desire to set up projects that help alleviate the suffering of populations in need  across the world.
