When he finished his studies (Sciences Po Paris, Master’s degree in economics at Paris I), Emmanuel Rinck joined the Centre d’Action Social Protestant (CASP) as a volunteer, to participate in the welcoming of Kosovar refugees in France.
After a “start-up” phase, he became involved in humanitarian work in 2005 with Médecins du Monde, still as a volunteer. At this occasion, he met SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL, which he joined in 2007 in Somalia (as a Field Coordinator first, then as a Country Director). This was one of his richest experiences.
Emmanuel then contributed a lot to the development of security coordination platforms for NGOs, in particular with INSO, of which he was one of the key collaborators, and for which he opened or managed several countries (CAR, Nigeria, Somalia…).
In 2017, Emmanuel joined SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL again, this time in headquarters as Desk Manager for the DRC, South Sudan and Haiti. He was appointed Director of Operations in April 2021.
In 2006, I found out that SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL conducts humanitarian work as I have always imagined it: efficient and sustainable, practical, bold, innovative, keen to work in areas difficult to access and able to maintain close proximity with the population. It is this story that I want to keep writing with SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL as a Director of the Operations. Be assured that I will attempt to overcome the challenge with humility and determination, with a permanent commitment to the protection of the most vulnerable.
