Yves Laszlo

Yves Laszlo, 58, father of four, is a mathematician and professor at the University of Paris-Saclay.

He spent 10 years at the CNRS before becoming a professor at Sorbonne University and then at the Ecole Polytechnique. He founded the Hadamard Foundation, which unites mathematicians on the Saclay plateau by promoting cooperation with other disciplines and international openness. He was then deputy director of the ENS Ulm-PSL for 7 years and then Provost of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris and of the Ecole Polytechnique for 2 years until November 2021. In this capacity, he made a major contribution to the development of the new PSL and Institut Polytechnique de Paris universities.

As a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Research and Development, he wishes to contribute his knowledge and vision of higher education and research to the emergency-development nexus. The aim is to bring together actors and develop joint initiatives to better prevent emergencies, adapt responses and enable the world of research and engineering to benefit from SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s field experience.
