The city of Clichy has supported our organization since 2010, mainly by funding emergencies. It is also one of the sponsors contributing to our emergency fund.
Ville de Clichy-la-Garenne has supported various different emergency operations led by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL. In 2010, following the earthquake in Haiti, it helped to fund the water, sanitation and hygiene solutions delivered by our association. In 2011, it pledged its support for our aid project helping Bangladesh’s Rohingyas refugees, a particularly excluded and vulnerable minority. In 2014, when our association was dispatched to Sierra Leone to provide water and hygiene aid for the health centers caring for Ebola patients, Clichy supported us once again.
But Clichy is also one of our emergency donors: in 2013 and 2014 it matched our emergency funds, which enabled us to assist as swiftly as possible in the event of a disaster, without waiting for finance from major international donors like the EU or the UN.
