Crédit Agricole Solidarité et Développement

Where?: Philippines
When?: Since 2014
How?: Financial sponsorship

Crédit Agricole’s Solidarity and Development association supported SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s work in the Philippines in 2014, after typhoon Haiyan had struck.

SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL’s work in the Philippines, helping the victims of typhoon Haiyan to recover, made way for the creation of cocoa, banana and jackfruit nurseries, as well as temporary coconut nurseries.

Directly benefitting 7,500 people, this project has encouraged greater diversification in both the type of farming practised and the seeds sown. It has also provided the inhabitants of 13 barangays (administrative units) with the opportunity to get back to work in the wake of the typhoon, thereby helping to secure their livelihoods.
