When?: Since 2010
How?: Grant

Since 2010, through the Oudin-Santini law, the Agence de l’Eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse (Rhone-Mediterranean-Corsica Water Authority) has supported SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in its emergency response and reconstruction projects.

In particular, the AERMC has contributed significant funding for the installation of a new water network in the town of Kalemie in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the goal of providing access to drinking water for the population and therefore helping combat cholera in a sustainable way. In 2012, the AERMC also funded the launch of a film on these activities, which was presented during the World Water Forum in March 2012.

It also supported a SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL mission to Pakistan for a project to provide access to drinking water and sanitation, following the Sindh floods.

The AERMC has also partnered with SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in emergency situations, such as in Haiti in 2010 and in the Philippines in 2013.
In 2017, on the initiative of the town of Seyne-sur-Mer, the AERMC pledged to support our project to improve access to drinking water in North Lebanon.
