Syria is plunged into a casualty-heavy conflict. The country is experiencing a very serious civil war, with international issues at stake and involving multiple actors.
The situation remains unstable and unpredictable for all the people living in the country. In this context, the population has been forced to flee and seek shelter. Reconstruction is therefore difficult for these communities who have little income to meet their basic needs.
Despite the insecure context, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is working in Syria to develop essential humanitarian responses for populations with very few resources.
In needy areas, access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene is provided to displaced populations and the local communities that host them.
A consortium of international actors specialized in responses related to water, shelter and more broadly to the global protection of individuals is also managed on site. It allows for the long-term management of the facilities, directly by the beneficiaries.
