This is the story of Ayad, who relied on the Khabour river, now dried up, to irrigate his plantations.
This is the story of Mahmoud, who struggled to feed his malnourished son.

About the photographer, Juliette Pedram
Juliette joined SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in 2022 as a communications officer in Northeast Syria. She set off to meet inhabitants and hear their stories. Always with camera in hand, she strengthened her passion for photography, with a particular interest in portraits. She came back from Syria with stories that need to be told, and photos of Syrian faces that, without words, already say so much.
