Published on Wednesday 3 August 2016

On 2nd July, Borno State in Nigeria raised the alarm, declaring a nutritional emergency. Devastated by an internal conflict launched by Boko Haram and which caused the displacement of 2.2 million people, north-eastern Nigeria is in need of immediate humanitarian assistance. 60% of the country’s food insecure households live in Borno State. Furthermore, drinking water is in dire need and many cases of severe acute malnutrition have been detected. Such a sanitary situation is catastrophic. Without rapid relief, the situation can get worse. Find out more in the graphic.
