Who are we?

SOLIDARITES is a humanitarian organisation which provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster. For over 25 years the association has concentrated its action on meeting three vital needs - water, food and shelter - by carrying out emergency programmes followed by reconstruction projects.

Whilst fully respecting the assisted populations' customs and culture, SOLIDARITES' programmes are implemented through the joint expertise of around one hundred and fifty French expatriate volunteers and one thousand five hundred local managerial staff and employees.

According to its statutes as a charitable organisation under the 1901 law, SOLIDARITES holds an Annual General Meeting once a year and has a Board of Directors and a Steering Committee. The charity is run by its Founder and Managing Director, Alain Boinet.

Our missions throughout the world:

SOLIDARITES is currently present in 15 countries, and has previously provided humanitarian aid in Iraq for 1 year, in Albania, Serbia and Kosovo for 3 years, in Macedonia for 5 years, in Bosnia for 8 years, in Romania for 11 years, in Rwanda for 6 years, in Angola for 3 years, and in Pakistan and Lebanon for 1 year.
