Fondation Veolia

Where?: Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), France, Ukraine, Lebanon
When?: Since 2007
How?: Financial sponsorship, Donations in kind, Skills sponsorship

The Veolia Foundation provides our teams with its skills, as well as the essential equipments for humanitarian action.

That cooperation began in 2007 in southern Sudan. SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL and Veolia Waterforce implemented a water treatment plant, developed by Veolia experts, for 15,000 people in Malakal, a stopover town for exiles on their way home.

Since then, the Veolia Foundation has supported our projects in the Ivory Coast, Philippines, Mali, Cameroon, France, Ukraine and Lebanon.

In 2023, following the destruction of the dam at the Nova Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in Ukraine, causing unprecedented flooding, the VEOLIA Foundation once again joined forces with SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL to provide humanitarian aid to the people affected as quickly as possible: five water treatment plants, each able to produce up to 40,000 liters of drinking water per day, and six 10m³ flexible water storage tanks were made available to SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL by the VEOLIA Foundation, enabling access to drinking water to be restored for those affected.
